Soap Care and Bath Oil Bomb Use

Soap lasts longer by keeping it dry between uses. Please use a draining soap dish and away from direct streams of water. Keep soap out of eyes. Discontinue use if irritations occur.
 
For Bath Oil Bombs, dissolve in warmer water, relax in the water 20-30 minutes to open up your pores allowing the oils  to penetrate, hydrate and moisturizie your skin.
 
Each BB has Epsom Salts, Colloidal Oatmeal, Shea Butter, Olive Oil  and Kaolin Clay to soothe sore muscles and soften skin. Citric Acid for a bit of Fizz and Polysorbate 80 an emulsion that combines oil and water so that everything washes down the drain, but also helps prevent coloring from clinging to the sides of the tub.  
 
Added tip:  before exiting the tub, while water is draining, I use a wet washcloth to wipe the sides of the of the tub.

What is "Bastille" soap"

The term “Bastille,” commonly refers to cold process soap made with at least 70% olive oil. Olive oil is extremely gentle, making it the perfect oil for normal, delicate or sensitive skin.  My soap base includes Pure Olive Oil, Organic Coconut Oil and Castor Oil.  
 
These three ingredients make for a creamy, sudsy bar good for all skin types that is long long lasting after curing for 8 weeks.

Saponification

Saponification is a chemical reaction that gives off heat which occurs when oils (fatty acids) come into contact with sodium hydroxide (lye).  During this reaction, the triglyceride units of fats react with sodium hydroxide and chemically converts to Soap with Glycerin.  All soaps are made with lye, even melt and pour soap.  
 
Commercial soaps strip out the expensive Glycerin to use for other products.  That is why your skin feels tight and dry right after a bath or shower. Afterwards, you end up slathering your body with additional lotions (loaded with chemicals) to rehydrate your skin.  Some of these chemicals may be cancer causing, so read the labels!
 
There are No Added Chemicals to dry out your skin in my soap!

Are Your Bath Products Vegan

All of my bath products are Vegan and Earth friendly.  Palm Oil, Paraben, SLS/SCS, Phosphates, Preservative, Formaldehyde and Cruelty Free!  I only use plant-based oils.  All soaps have been tested on humans first.

Are Your Soaps For All Skin Types

Yes. All the oils I use are suitable for all skin types.
 
BareNatural soap is specifically Fragrance Free for those that prefer none and babies who's skin should not have any fragrance as their skin is ultra sensitive.
 
All other soaps include Essential oils and/or Fragrance oils in small quantities.
 
Always test on a patch of skin if you have any allergies.  Suggest using BareNatural if you are hesitant about any fragramce or essential oil.

There are thousands of oils, clays, butters and other ingredients Soap Makers use.  With that in mind, the list below are the ingredients I use most frequently as I feel they are creamy, cleansing, create great lather, antibacterial, antiseptic, noncomedial, non-drying, moisturizing, hydrating and, in turn, anti aging.  
 
If you are ALLERGIC to anything, please read the ingredients on each soap as they do differ.  You my also want to try BareNatural as that has the least ingredients and is geard for sensitive skin.
 
Yes!  ALL NATURAL SOAPS ARE ANTIBACTERIAL WITHOUT ANY ADDED INGREDIENTS.
 
Three main Ingredients:
 
PURE OLIVE OIL - rich in antioxidants, Beta Carotene, vitamins A & E, fast absorbption that quickly helps promote cell regeneration. Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
 
ORGANIC COCONUT OIL- Luxurious creamy for deep cleansing and moisturizing. Suitable for all skin typs, fights bacteria, non drying helps harden the soap bars.
 
CASTOR OIL - creates a bubbly, creamy lather, conditions & moisturizes, acts as a humectant.
 
Added Ingredients Are Listed On Soap Bar:
 
ACTIVATED CHARCOAL - Effective in treating oily skin and acne while gently cleaning pores, moisturize and nourish skin.  Helps draw out excess oil, pollutants, and other impurities.
 
ALOE (fresh from my garden) - helps combat acne, soothes sunburn, moisturizes skin, fights skin aging, helps reduce inflammation, antiseptic.  When using fresh aloe, it totally replaces distilled water, normally used. or a combination of fresh Aloe & Cucumber.
 
BENTONITE CLAY - Used in "SHAVE" as a natura detoxifier, while increasing lather and giving a a nice "slip" helping the razor glide over the skin.
 
COLLOIDAL OATMEAL - Gentle exfoliation, soothing  and adds a smooth felling to your skin.
 
KAOLIN CLAY - detoxes & cleanses skin.  Helps remove dead skin cells and stimulates skin regeneration.  Great for dry skin, tightening pores, may help in fading hyperpigmentation and removing skin toxins.  Very mild exfolioent.
 
MOROCCAN RED CLAY - Removes impurities and toxins from the skin while moisturising. Increases cheaning ability and is a natural exfoliation.
 
MULTANI MNITTI CLAY - A rich alkaline clay corrects impbalances and naturally reuutralizes skin PH.  May reduce the appearance of blemishes/acne scars.  Deep cleans pores, removes impurities and helps slough off dead skin cells.
 
NEEM OIL - Known for its antibacerial, antiviral , anti-inflammatory and skin healing proiperties.  Helpful for dandruff, Eczema, Psoriasis, and dermatitis.  Soothes dry, irritated skin and scalp.   Also helps rid skin problems in furry animals while strengthening furry coats, and help repelling biting insects.
 
ROSE CLAY - perfect for sensitive skin with its light exfoliating properties that helps to reduce inflammation and remove dead skin cells.
 
SHEA BUTTER - For humans: the high content of Vitamin A and Emake it an excellent choice as an anti-aging product that may help to prevent wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. Relives dry, itchy skin, great for all skin conditions. For furry pets: shea butter moisturizes dry itchy skin, promotes soft shiny hair.
 
SUNFLOWER OIL - creates a creamy lather to moisturize, condition all types skin & does not clog pores.

My Soaps or Bath Bombs don't look like the picture!

All my products are handcrafted and poured into molds.  The beautiful nature of handcrafting allows for each soap or bath bomb to be uniquie....no two will ever be exactly the same.  A piece of Artwork, if you will.  
 
Although I use natural lighting for my photos, I select the best of the batch during my photo shoot.  But each bar or bomb may have their own unique twist on fate and may be slightly imperfect in looks, not a bad thing, just normal as we are not perfect either.
